Week 35 · Third trimester

35 weeks pregnant

Dahlia, full stem

46.2 cm (18.2 in)head to heel

At about 46.2 cm from head to heel, your baby is close in length to a Dahlia, full stem (~46 cm), intricate at the bloom and grounded by the whole stem beneath it.

This week, inside

Your baby continues gaining fat, which supports temperature regulation after birth. The womb is crowded, but movement is still expected to continue.

What you might be noticing

  • Ribs feeling crowded. the baby’s position and movement can make the rib area feel tender or pressured.
  • Practice tightenings. painless Braxton Hicks tightenings may continue.
  • Sleep and digestion. sleep problems, heartburn, bloating, or constipation can remain familiar.

Small things that help

Give your torso room when you sit and keep frequently used objects close. A short list for whoever may support you can turn “help” into something easy to accept.

For the record
