Delete your account

One press in the app, and nobody asking you why.

In the app

  1. Open Zohra and go to You, then Settings.
  2. Tap Delete my account.
  3. Confirm.

That is the whole process. There is no survey, no retention flow and no offer to stay. When it is done, Zohra says so on the screen.

What goes

  • Your record: every keepsake, every note, every recording, your journal and your milestones, on this phone and in our database, in the same press.
  • Your photos and recordings in Cloudflare’s storage, within seconds, and within the hour if the first try fails.
  • Your account itself, at our sign-in provider, with the email address and name it held. Nothing stays behind there, and there is nothing to write to us to finish.

If you bought Zohra Plus, one record of the purchase stays: which plan you bought, its dates and Apple’s number for the purchase. Your name, email and account id come off it, but it is not anonymous: RevenueCat, which handles purchases for us, keeps its own copy of your purchase history under your account id, and Apple’s number links the two. It stays so that restoring the purchase on a new account still finds the plan you paid for. If you want it gone as well, write to hello@mkstudiosgroup.com and we will remove both.

It cannot be brought back, and Zohra says so before you confirm rather than after. If you sign in again later with the same email address, Apple or Google, you start a new account with nothing in it.

If it cannot finish

If Zohra cannot reach our servers, it tells you nothing was deleted and leaves your record exactly as it was. If your record is gone from our servers but the account could not be closed at the sign-in provider, Zohra tells you that in those words, keeps what is on your phone, and the same press finishes it when you try again. It never reports a deletion that did not happen.

Without an account

If you never signed in, everything of yours is on your phone already. The same row reads Delete my record, and it removes the record from the phone.

Want a copy first?

Export my memories, in Settings, writes your whole record to a file you keep. Deletion is permanent, so it is worth doing in that order.
